Start by placing the flour yeast and sugar on a medium-size bowl. To create the traditional bolillo shape flatten one of the dough balls into an oval-shaped disk pull the top quarter towards you. Place the shaped bolillos on the prepared baking sheet.
Next place the shaped dough on a cookie sheet. Then roll into individual balls before shaping the bolillos into football shapes. Finally brush a little more oil on top of bolillos.
Gently punch it and knead it for a few seconds just enough to form a ball or roll. Divide into 8 pieces and roll the pieces into a ball. Shape the balls of dough into chubby slightly tapered oval rolls about 6 long.
One by one gently flatten each piece a little by pressing it with your fingers against the surface. Gently deflate the dough and turn out onto a lightly floured surface shape into a ball and divide it into 8 equal pieces about 85g each. Use the palms of your hand to roll the ends and gently press so to taper the ends a bit.
