Sugar Cookies Made With Butter Flavored Crisco
Combine flour baking soda cream of tartar and salt in separate large bowl.

In general you can substitute Crisco shortening for butter or margarine in equal amounts 1 cup Crisco shortening 1 cup butter or margarine. Cream Crisco sugar eggs and vanilla in large mixer bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until light and creamy.
Mix butter Crisco and sugar by hand until. Preheat oven to 375F. Beat into shortening mixture at low speed until smooth.
Beat at medium speed until well blended. Combine sugar and butter flavor crisco in large bowl. Add eggs syrup and vanilla.
Beat in eggs one at a time. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. Wrap in plastic wrap.
Because of butters low melting point the dough tends to spread during baking before the structure sets. Cover dough and chill 1 hour if desired for easy rolling. Divide dough into three pieces.
For 12 cup of butter use 12 cup of Crisco shortening 1 teaspoon of water 18 teaspoon of salt. Also butter contains a significant amout of water 15 to 17 percent for most brands whereas Crisco has none so in using all butter youre also changing the amount of liquid in the dough. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
